ATLANTA, GA, (August 21, 2024) – The Network of Academic and Scholastic Esports Federations (NASEF) and AVID Products are growing their partnership in order to focus on the communication element of gameplay in both scholastic and competitive esports.

AVID Products, a headset manufacturer with over 70 years of experience, designed the newly released AVIGA™ gaming headset to provide an equitable gaming experience to every gamer, regardless of vocal range, age, or gender. Through this partnership, AVID will provide support and discounts on high-quality, communication-centric gaming headsets to members of the education-focused NASEF and its professional international competitive arm, the United States Esports Federation (USEF.GG)

NASEF connects learning and play in and out of the classroom so that students, educators and families experience the real-world value of education through interest-driven learning. The support of generous organizations like AVID enable NASEF, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, to create useful content and offer free support to schools and out-of-school time organizations participating in scholastic esports. From K-12 classrooms to on-campus clubs and teams, from the Unified Esports League to Boys & Girls Clubs of America, educators rely on NASEF for its useful scholastic esports frameworks and engaging game-based programs and tournaments.

The United States Esports Federation embodies NASEF’s vision to develop athletes who are game changers in the esports world, emphasizing core values of learning, opportunity, community, diversity, and respect. USEF.GG provides the exclusive pathway for United States-based esports athletes to compete at both the World Esports Championships hosted by the International Esports Federation and the Global Esports Games hosted by the Global Esports Federation. AVID’s support of USEF.GG is key as elite athletes train and prepare to travel to represent the United States as they compete for world titles.

“At AVID, we believe in the power of connection and communication to elevate experiences and build communities,” said Mike Logan, Chief Commercial Officer for AVID Products. “Focusing on the critical element of communication in gameplay ensures that every player, regardless of background, has a voice and a chance to succeed. AVID is excited to grow our partnership with NASEF as we deliver on our commitment to enhancing communication and collaboration in scholastic and competitive esports.”

Through this partnership, AVID and NASEF will collaboratively develop educational content highlighting the importance of audio technology to esports and other pursuits, and helping youth understand and consider related career pathways.

“We’re thrilled to continue this partnership with AVID,” said Gerald Solomon, NASEF’s executive director, “In our first year of collaboration, AVID demonstrated its commitment to students and esports professionals by providing equipment and knowledge. They also applied one of their own core values by listening carefully to the experience and needs of the esports world and responding with an improved product in the AVIGA gaming headset.”

AVID’s preferred offering for scholastic esports is its AVIGA gaming headset. Giving gamers the features they expect in a headset at an affordable price point, it outperforms others within its price class and those at much higher price points, making it an unbeatable choice. The AVIGA is available with either a 3.5mm or USB-A connection. The speakers bring sound to the next level with a perfect blend of rich, deep bass with clear mid tones and highs, creating an immersive experience. Over-the-ear styling provides passive noise reduction to improve focus. Extra thick ear cushioning and a padded adjustable headband deliver exceptional comfort for extended use. The ultra-flexible and adjustable noise-canceling boom-style microphone cancels out ambient background noise and enables crystal-clear communication. The nylon braided cord with strain relief at ear cups and plug gives this headset added durability. The flip-to-mute mic and on-ear volume control allow you to stay focused on the game and win with AVID.

For the 2024-25 school year, AVID is proud to offer the following significant discounts to clubs that are NASEF members: a 20% discount will be given when orders are placed with the code NASEF20. In addition, NASEF-affiliated schools and clubs can receive their first 12 headsets at a significantly discounted rate. Contact NASEF at [email protected] and verify your status to receive the offer code. Orders can be placed at AVIGA™ AP-1000 - AVID Products Inc..
