Gamers Life Partners with NASEF to Teach Youth in Montenegro about Opportunities and Careers in Esports

Feb 27, 2025

Herceg Novi, Montenegro (February 27, 2025) – Esports are booming, and students in Montenegro are excited to not just play the games, but to pursue related careers. To support this thirst for competition and education, Gamers Life will now be collaborating with NASEF (the global Network of Academic and Scholastic Esports Federations) alongside the leadership of NASEF Europe, the Alliance of Electronic Sports of Montenegro (aka “Montenegro Esports Federation”).

NASEF provides a framework and support for educators around the world as they build programs that connect students’ love of video games and esports to exploration of career pathways, simultaneously developing important personal “soft skills” that will help youth thrive in today’s workforce.

NASEF leverages massive student interest in team-based competitive video gaming, offering meaningful education alongside tournaments in top game titles. Students in NASEF clubs learn about possible career pathways, enter Beyond the Game creative and analytic challenges, manage clubs and events and fundraising, and compete in tournaments in popular titles.

Milan Lalic, founder, said, “At Gamers Life, we’ve witnessed the gaming landscape evolve over two decades—from the pixelated wonders of early consoles to the stunning realism and competitive depth of modern esports. Our mission is to harness that excitement by implementing gamification in regular school curricula and promoting the gaming industry through panels, workshops, tournaments, and community building. By partnering with NASEF, we can help youth across the Balkans and all of Europe discover a passion for gaming and the vast educational and career opportunities that come with it.”

Gamers Life is hosting Mimoza Fest, a game festival that will take place on March 01 and 02 in Igalo, Herceg Novi. For the first day, interesting panel discussions will include perspectives of experts from the IT and esports sector and representatives of teams and organizations, as well as an individual tournament in the title FC25. On the second day, a team event will be held with 8+ teams that will test their skills in the title Dota 2.

“Research demonstrates the effectiveness of esports as a tool for meaningful education,” said Gerald Solomon, founder and executive director of NASEF. “We’re thrilled that Gamers Life will be partnering with us and the Alliance of Electronic Sports of Montenegro to educate adults and youth in the region about the power of esports and gamification.”
