Healthy Player ONE introduces software to monitor and prevent harassment and injury during esports play

Los Angeles, CA — June 22, 2020
The North America Scholastic Esports Federation (NASEF) announced today it has selected Healthy Player ONE to be the preferred provider of anti-bullying and injury-prevention software for K-12 schools globally to help make esports a safer and more inclusive environment for all students.

“NASEF, with training and its Code of Conduct, is working to accentuate the positive character-building qualities of scholastic esports,” commended Healthy Player ONE Chief Product Officer Elliott Levine. “Using Healthy Player ONE software, in conjunction with training and policies, can help make esports a welcoming and positive experience for everyone.”

Healthy Player ONE software allows users to capture game play and headset audio on demand, allowing a student being harassed to quietly report code of conduct violations. Information is captured and uploaded to the company’s cloud dashboard where school officials can review the incident and determine the appropriate course of action. Further, the software sets time limits for game play across the network of gaming PCs and allows school officials to maintain a log of any self-reported symptoms from students.

“NASEF’s mission is to provide opportunities for ALL students to use esports as a platform to acquire critical communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills needed to thrive in work and in life,” said Tom Turner, NASEF’s chief education officer. “We’re very proud that, in addition to our existing Code of Conduct, Healthy Player ONE can serve as an active reminder for all students to adopt a healthy gaming philosophy, both physically and emotionally.” The goal isn’t to punish students, but deter bad behavior done by the few that ruin it for other children.

As part of the partnership, Healthy Player ONE will provide licenses for annual research studies and introduce thought leadership videos on healthy game play. Healthy Player ONE is sold to schools and universities on an annual subscription and will be formally launched in Fall 2020 at several academic conferences.
