Shoutcaster

Sample Job Description

Shoutcasters provide exciting, insightful, and entertaining commentary during  a competitive gaming match that break down the action and events as they unfold. Typically, casters are split into two categories: Color casters and Play-by-Plays. Color casters are primarily responsible for building a narrative around a match that guides the viewer and giving in-depth analysis of the mechanics and gameplay. Play-by-Play casters put the “Shout” in shoutcasting, amplifying and highlighting key moments of action with excitable vocabulary. These two roles work in tandem with each other through conversation and banter to create a broadcast that is both digestible, informative, and entertaining to the viewer, ultimately amplifying the entertainment of the match without detracting from the main action.
