Getting Ready to Compete

All of NASEF's competitive offerings are completely free! You don't have to worry about paying a registration or subscription fee to participate.

However, all of our competitions are only open to registered NASEF Clubs.

It takes time to complete Club and student registration, so make sure to start the process ASAP! Here's what you need to do to get ready to compete:

Step 1: Register your High School Club

Sign up as either a School Official or Student.

Fill in the appropriate information regarding your school and/or community organization.

Step 2: Await Account Approval

Once you've submitted your application, please allow 24-48 hours for our team to review your information.

Once approved, you'll be able to move onto the next step to choose your tournaments.

Step 3: Choose Your Tournament

Once your club has been added and verified, you're eligible to add your tournament rosters and can participate in any of our competitions!

This also makes them eligible to participate in Beyond the Game Challenges and more.

Step 4: You're Ready!

Once you've selected your competition, you can start building your tournament roster.

Season-Long Tournaments

Our season-long tournaments are free to join for any NASEF-Activated Club. With our main tournaments, we offer game benefits, live-streamed matches with game commentators, full tournament support and grant prizing.

Special Tournaments

NASEF is always looking to engage with partners that can offer grants and equipment to our Clubs. Our partnerships can take the form of special tournaments we create for specific game titles. These special tournaments have shorter seasons compared to our mean season tournaments, but offer a ton of perks for participating Clubs!

Beyond the Game Challenges

Beyond the Game Challenges are where esports Clubs across North America can tap into their talent apart from their competitive teams! Here, students with interests in the different sectors of the Esports Ecosystem (below) can learn new skills, expand their knowledge, and gain real experience in potential future career opportunities.

So, for the student who loves video games and esports - we want to see your passion for esports and your esports club come alive!

The 2021 Digital Rube Goldberg Machine Minecraft Contest was a STEAM competition where students from grades 3-12 competed with machines that they have imagined, designed in Minecraft Education Edition, and created in a fun and competitive forum.

The competitions encouraged teamwork and out-of-the-box problem solving, in a fresh learning environment and level playing field. We provided instruction for teams on how to create machines using Minecraft.
